very interesting article. I have to admit I have been brainstorming ideas for careers for a long time now and still can’t figure out what I would like to do. Hopefully using these tips will help me find the perfect career
That is so true … there’s that saying that I really like “Find a job that you like and you’ll never have to work another day in your life” - can’t remember who said now but it’s so true!
Few people can actually do this, but I think that everyone should work towards reaching that goal in life.
Great quote and thanks for sharing!
lol,I looked back when I was young and realized I had a completely different path I foretold myself ten years ago. Anyways, you shouldn’t ignore your elder’s advice when you choose your career as well as the career demand. The final decision lies in you, so you got be careful in choosing your probable lifetime commitment.
I was rummaging through a garage sale the other week looking for self help books about looking for a job. I’m a happy go luck person and I am really good at doing things that interest me while on the other hand I tend to lag on things that I don’t like doing even if it really is important. I really like to get the job that I love doing, I mean we all do right? but what about when reality checks in and need and expenses come in before wants and goals?
Reading books about careers is a good way to get started on an ideal career. Finding out what interest you and what doesn’t is a smart approach in choosing a career and books are the perfect place to find out about the various types of careers and what they entail to help know if that is what peaks your interest. Thanks for sharing.
I think the first thing you have to do is know yourself. You have to know what you like and what not, what you’re good at and what not. To know that you have to try many different things. This may take quite some time and effort, to truly know what you want to do in your life. I know that many people have that problem for life. They simply never find something interesting enough to say, “This is for me!”.
And I disagree with some of the comments above. I think you should not listen to anybody else, not even the elders or your parents. Many people make the mistake of doing too much of what other people want them to do.
Great post to read and i am sure that everyone loves to have some great career advice from the professionals just to get into the right place and become a right person. In this way he or she doesn’t faces any challenges in life which occurs due to wrong selection of career. Thanks for the post….
I will tell you what I did. After finishing school, I went out there and worked on several jobs for two years, after which I was 100% sure I want to be a software programmer. And voila, tis year I am graduating from KPI in computer science
