How To Spend Summer Vacation

Summer is almost officially here.  With the weather heating up, kids getting out of school, and summer parks opening again over the next week or so, we take a look at how to spend summer vacation. There are many places to go, things do, and people to see when summer comes around.  The following are some suggestions on how to spend summer vacation and what fun things to do for summer time.

Summer Vacations: Lots of people like to travel during the summer, but it’s good to go places that are also warm. For example, our summers here in the US are winter time for the southern hemisphere. This means that places like Australia, South America, and even Africa are experiencing their winters. Although this can be a good time of year for certain areas, it may not be for all areas so make sure to check the local weather conditions for average temps and outlook.

• Hawaii - This is a great spot no matter what time of the year, but is really nice during the summer.  Rates are good are normal and the weather should be great.
• Florida - With top destinations like Disney World, Islands of Adventure, and Universal Florida, this is one of the best travel spots for summer vacations.  There are many things families, singles, couples, and kids.
• Anaheim - Having year round great weather and loads of fun things to do, OC is always one of the best summer vacation spots. Going to the beach one day, Disneyland the next, and touring stars homes on another day makes this a spot that anyone can enjoy.

Summer Attractions: There are many places that people can go to have fun in the summer sun.  Some are open year round, but other are only open during the summer. The following are some of the top summer attractions choices.

• Water Parks - These are mostly summer attractions that open right around Memorial weekend. With water slides, wave pools, and water fun places, water parks are great summer fun.
• Beaches - When the weather gets hot, the beaches get hot also. This means that the water temp is going up and people can start going into the ocean without wetsuits on and makes this a fun destination over the summer

Summer Activities: There are man activities that can be done during the summer and the following are some the top choices for summer activities.

• Hiking - This activity can be done in other parts of the year, but is great during the summer as people can camp out over night, go for longer hikes during the day with more sun, and not have to lug around as much heavy clothes.
• Boating - Many lakes and boating places get into full swing for the summer as the winds die down and make for lake boating.  Boating can be a fun time with lots of things to do including fishing, skiing, and other water activities.
• Baseball - Boys of summer are never too far away and the summer time brings out the best in baseball.  People of all ages enjoy playing and watching this great American past-time.

With summer starting in a few days, it’s good to have some ideas of what to do during summer and how to spend summer vacation.
