I believe that we need some serious health care reform because our current system has everybody more than paying for those who cant afford it, because those that can’t afford it only get emergency care where as with obama’s plan you could get preventative care.
I believe that our country is in serious need of help with our health care system yes we have some of the most advanced medical procedures available to us in the world but we don’t have very affordable health cre.
I believe everyone should have the right to health care no matter their income or social position.
I don’t think taxes are a legitimate argument since that same money and much more WILL be spent on other issues anyway. Did we have a choice when it came to the bank bailouts? What about the auto manufacturing bailouts, was that up for a vote? We better get the health of American families taken care of while it’s still on the table.
I’m concerned with the latest trend we’re seeing when it comes to the speed of government policy. When Bush was still president the first bank bailout went out very quickly without thought or condition and look what it got us. I wish we could take the time needed to actually evaluate the situation and develop the best possible program possible. Everyone is in the attack mode and American health is going to pay the price. If we were all fighting for the same cause there wouldn’t be a need to force mediocre at best programs down each others throats.
I absolutely agree with Brian. The cost of health care would keep rising and during the next ten years maybe it would out grow the cost of public health care as there is no control over the private options. The real effects that this has on the private option is yet to be seen. Will the insurance companies hold fast on racking up insurance premiums or will they be dictated by the competition?
